Christmas Cookie Award: Statue Award

Making The Statue Awards

Materials needed

• Card stock        
• Hot glue          
• Glue     
• Acrylic Paint    
• Metallic Pipe cleaners            
• Pattern tissue paper          
• Cereal box or some kind of thin cardboard

Start out with a piece of card stock cut into 1 inch strips. 1 strip for each statue you wish to make

Hand form a statue shape out of each strip. 

Start  out with forming the head in the center till you get something that looks like this. 

Before you shape it you will want to paint both sides and glitter one side. Let completely dry before forming.

Now for the base

For the base use a toilet paper roll and cut into 3 equal sections, each section will form 1 base.

Using an old cereal box trace around the base to get the top part of your base.

Once you have as many as you need hot glue tops to bases

Cut tissue paper into squares to cover the tops of your bases glue down and trim

Cut rectangle pieces of tissue paper large enough to wrap around and cover sides of the bases.

Glue on

Measure Pipe cleaner so that it will fit around the base cut 2 of these for your base. Hot glue one around the top edge and 1 around the base of the trophy.

Attach your trophy to the top with hot glue and your done.
